This men’s swim brief features a playful, cartoon-style representation of la cotorra puertorriqueña, the beloved yet endangered Puerto Rican parrot. The bright blue fabric is not only eye-catching, but also sustainably made from high-quality recycled materials—because protecting our island’s treasures should look and feel good. Bold, fun, and meaningful, this brief is a tribute to one of Puerto Rico’s most iconic species.

Our environmentally friendly men's swim briefs are crafted from Recycled Polyester, which is entirely made from recycled plastic bottles. We incorporate Microfiber threading, featuring more filaments than standard thread, resulting in a softer feel. These swim briefs are designed with Fast Dry technology, built-in U.V. protection, and color resistance to prevent fading from chlorine or saltwater, ensuring they fit well and endure over time.

At Ikakos swimwear, we want you to absolutely love your swimsuit. Make sure to check out the sizing chart to confirm all the details are spot on before you finalize your purchase. If you like a roomier fit, go ahead and pick a size up. For instance, if your waist measures 33" but you are gifted (in the front, back, or both), then opt for a 34".

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the washing instructions below to maintain the color and integrity of your Ikakos swimsuit.

Always rinse your swimsuit with fresh water after every use. Rinsing your suit is especially important if it has come into contact with chlorinated water or seawater. Hand wash only, do not use a washing machine. You can also use a very mild soap if needed. After rinsing well, lay the swimsuit flat to dry.

  • Avoid rubbing against rough surfaces or sharp edges to prevent pulls on the surface of the fabric
  • Do not bleach, soak, or wring
  • Dry in the shade
